Karnataka government has announced a series of fresh guidelines and also imposed night curfew in an effort to bring the spread of coronavirus. In that state, new guidelines have been issued wef 9 PM on April 21 to 6 AM on May 4.
Government has requested people not to venture out during the curfew unless of course, there is a case of emergency. During this weekend curfew, all the guidelines will be the same as the night curfew.
People who are involved in the industries and organizations that require 24*7 operation, they are allowed to move. Those who are deployed in essential services will also be allowed to move during this curfew but they will need to carry their ID’s with them.
As per the guidelines, only telecom/internet service provider employees are allowed to move with ID and the staff of IT companies and other have to work from home. Along with them, people eligible for vaccine can move if they show even minimal proof.
The neighborhood shop that deal with groceries shall remain open for 4 hours during the weekend. The time they shall remain open for is from 6 AM to 10 AM. And the online platforms providing delivery of essential items are allowed to function throughout the lockdown.
Karnataka had to take this step as the cases are increasing rapidly. On Thursday, they recorded 25,795 cases with 123 deaths because of coronavirus. The total number of cases of the state are 12,47,997 and the death toll is 13,885.
