The first gold can come in India’s account in Tokyo Olympics-2020. Mirabai Chanu, who has won a silver medal in weightlifting (49 kg category), can convert to medal gold. Actually, Chinese player Hou Zhioui is suspected of doping.
There is a message in the Indian group in Tokyo that Hou Zihui is being tested and it remains to be seen what happens next. The members of the Indian delegation are not saying much about this.

Hou Zhioui was about to return to her country today, but she has been asked to stay. This is the first time in the history of the Olympics, when a player’s medal was taken away for doping.
If Mirabai’s medal in women’s weightlifting (49kg) at the Tokyo Olympics turns into gold, it will be India’s second gold medal in the individual event in Olympic history. Veteran shooter Abhinav Bindra gave India its first gold medal (Beijing 2008).
Why is the Chinese gold medal winning athlete who beat Chanu is being tested for dope 2 days later? There is a message in the Indian group in the village that says she is being tested and to watch out what happens. Members of the indian delegation not saying much! #TokyoOlympics

Mirabai Chanu has ended India’s 21-year wait for a medal in the Olympic Games weightlifting event. Earlier, Karnam Malleswari had won the country a bronze medal in weightlifting at the Sydney Olympics 2000. Mirabai has returned home. He himself has given information about this by tweeting.

Chanu won the silver medal by lifting a total of 202 kg from 115 kg in clean and jerk and 87 kg in snatch. China’s Hou Zhioui won the gold medal with a total of 210 kg. Indonesia’s Aisah Windi Kantika won the bronze medal by lifting a total of 194 kg.

Mirabai did not play well or not give a good performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics by winning a medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Mirabai, the only weightlifter to qualify for Tokyo, failed to make a single out of three attempts in the clean and jerk at the Rio Olympics.
Mirabai now holds a world record in clean and jerk in women’s 49 kg category. She lifted 119 kg in the Asian Championship before the Tokyo Olympics and won gold in this category and bronze in overall weight.
