RSS organization demands this from the government

Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), a subsidiary organization of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has made a demand from the Central Government. They say that the vaccine and medicines of covid 19 should be patent free. So that more and more companies can make and promote the production of vaccines like covishield and covaxine.

Swadeshi Jagran Manch has said that technology transfer facilities should be provided for the production of Corona drugs and vaccines. SJM has demanded the Central Government to allow more companies to produce Covid-19 vaccines and drugs while softening India’s patent law.

Government should abolish patent rights

Swadeshi Jagran Manch national co-convenor Ashwini Mahajan said, ‘Remdesivir and Favirapvir are being produced locally. But their available quantity is absolutely insufficient to meet the ever-increasing demand. Similarly, another important drug in the treatment of patients of Covid-19 is Tocilizumab, which is not produced in India. The need of this medicine cannot be met by import.

Transfer technology

Swadeshi Jagran Manch says that whichever company wants to make the vaccine. It should be transferred to technology and all trade secrets should also be given. This will increase the production of Covaxine and Covishield rapidly.
