Prime Minister Narendra Modi surprised the students

Prime Minister Narendra Modi surprised once again on Thursday. This time he suddenly joined the virtual meeting of the students and started talking to them. This virtual meeting was called by the Ministry of Education. Along with the students, their parents were also present in this meeting. There was no plan beforehand to join the PM in this meeting. Everything happened suddenly.

It has been learned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was involved in this virtual meeting for a very short time. He also talked to some students. After the cancellation of CBSE’s 12th examination, now the biggest question is about the assessment itself. There is a discussion everywhere that if exams have not been held, then on what basis will the pass/fail be done? It is being said that in the meeting, the Prime Minister also talked to some children about this issue. He asked the students the method of marking.

Due to Corona infection, there was a demand to cancel the CBSE board’s 12th examinations. The decision to cancel the board exam was taken in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Modi on June 1. Earlier the 10th board exams had been cancelled.

How will the result of the students be prepared?

Now the biggest question is that how will the results of the students be ready? Its rules have not been clarified yet. But CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi says that it will take two weeks to decide the marking criteria. In the meeting also, PM Modi had told the CBSE officials that the results of the students should be prepared on the basis of well-defined criteria.

Student requests PM to allow farewell for Class 12

A meeting was chaired by PM Modi earlier this week to discuss whether Class 12 exams should be held or not. On Tuesday, CBSE announced that the 12th Class board exams have been cancelled. But some student requests PM to allow farewell for Class 12

“Government of India has decided to cancel the Class XII CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth,” PM Modi tweeted.

As the announcement was made, all the Class 12 students were all over the moon with this news. They all took to twitter to show their happiness and shared various memes, showing their reactions to this announcement.

One Student requests PM on Twitter

One of the students tweeted, requesting PM to allow them to have Farewell. This student’s name is Kuki Aggarwal and his tweet has been going viral. He tweeted to PM Modi, “Sir farewell to kraa do…wo 12th B wali neha ko saree me dekhana tha”. In English, it roughly translates to “Sir, please allow the farewell… I wanted to see Class 12 B’s Neha in a saree”.

This tweet has got more than 2.5K likes and hundreds of different reactions. Some are funnily supporting him, while others are adding jokes to his tweet.

One user replied to his tweet saying, “12th B wali neha k papa wants to know your location” while another user with the name of “Neha class 12-b said, “ sorry kuku mne wse bhi saree nii phnni thi mne gown ka socha tha”.

PM Narendra Modi chaired a meeting on Tuesday on the Class 12 CBSE Board exams and the decision taken in the meeting says that exams will be cancelled because of the conditions caused by Coronavirus.

Earlier, two options were being discussed about holding the exams. One was to hold the exams of only important subjects and the other was to hold a short duration exam. But now, keeping the current situation in mind, it has been decided to cancel the exams.

The health aspect has been specifically stressed by the Prime Minister. The safety of the students should not be compromised with.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, students have been requesting the board to cancel the CBSE class 12 exams. While the exams have not been cancelled, there is good news for the students.

On Sunday it was decided that CBSE class 12 exams will be held between July 15 and August 26. Two options had been proposed by the Central Board. One is taking the exams for main 19 subjects at notified centers or holding small duration exams for all the subjects at the schools of students.

Although some say the duration will be 30 minutes and others say it will be 90, the point is that it will be a short-duration exam. Most of the states agreed with this format. However, only 4 states (Delhi, Maharashtra, Goa and Andaman & Nicobar) opined that the exams should not be held.

Union Education Ministry is in open to the idea of converting existing schools into exam centres. But the final decision in this regard is to be taken on June 1.

A high-level meeting was held yesterday to discuss whether Class 12th Board Exams 2021 will be held or not. Most of the states were suggesting to conduct the Exams, of course keeping the safety a priority at the same time. Others, however, were in the favor of holding exams once the students and teachers are vaccinated.

This meeting was attended by Union Education Minster and Education Ministers of all the states along with Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar and Smriti Irani.

“I have requested the state governments to send me their detailed suggestions by May 25. I am confident we will be able to arrive at an informed, collaborative decision regarding the exams and remove uncertainity among students and parents by informing them of our final decision at the earliese,” Pokhriyal tweeted.

Delhi suggested the conducting of the exams after the vaccination of the students and teachers is done. Tamil Nadu also thinks safety is important and said, “Like other states, Tamil Nadu also wanted to conduct the Class 12 board exams as it plays an important role in deciding students career.”

For long Karnataka has maintained that Board exams should be held once the conditions improve. Maharashtra also suggested to explore a non-examination option.

On the other hand, states including Punjab, Chattisgarh, and Assam are in favour of conducting the exam but while keep the safety the topmost priority.

So far, no final decision has been taken on announced on whether the exams are going to be held, postponed or cancelled.

Punjab Government announces vacation for school students

Punjab Government: On 22nd May, Education Minister of Punjab Vijay Inder Singla announced that all the government, semi-government and private schools of the state will remain closed from May 24 to June 23 for teachers, staff members and students.

“School Education Minister @VijayIndrSingla announced that all schools including government, semi-government and private schools across the state will remain closed for summer vacations from May 24 to June 23. Schools will remain closed for teachers and other staff also,” the Punjab Government tweeted.

On Friday, the government announced that free uniforms will be distributed to over 13 lakh students studying in Class 1 to 8. Therefore, education department has released 80.92 crore rupees for it.

Both boys and girls will be given the uniform. The boys will be given shirts, turban, trousers, caps, sweaters, socks and shoes. Girls will be given salwar-kameez, sweaters, shoes and socks.

In total 13,48,632 students will benefits from this scheme and out of those 7,65,024 are girls, boys from SC category are 5,08,436 and from BPL category are 75,172.

“Captain Amarinder Singh led state government has continuously been taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the students amid Covid-19 pandemic. Apart from providing the uniform at doorsteps, no students will be called in the schools for measurements. Instead, the staff would obtain the size from parents and provide free uniforms as per desired sizes,” Mr Singla said.

In the case of a married couple, the consent of both spouses will be required for adoption.

According to KARA rules, the minimum age difference between the child and any of the prospective adoptive parents should not be less than twenty five years. JEE Main exam scheduled for May also postponed

After the JEE main April exam, now the JEE main May exam is also postponed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a notice giving this information. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has also given information about this on Twitter.

Due to this coronation of Corona, the Ministry of Education has asked all institutes to postpone all examinations to be held on Monday evening in May 2021. For this, a letter has been written to all heads of centrally funded institutions.

Since the exams of Class 10th have been canceled. CBSE had to come up with a way to evaluate student’s performance and for that they are working out to create a system called Objective criteria. What they will do it simply use internal assessments and practical exam marks to promote the students to the next class.

However, if a student is found to show dissatisfaction with their marks. They will be given a chance to take the exams when the conditions allow them to hold examination.
