Ola Group Donates: On Friday, OLA launched ‘Drive the Driver Fund’ under the OLA Foundation. In which OLA Group and their employees have raised funds of 20 crores to help auto-rickshaw, cab, kaali-peeli and taxi drivers.

Bhavish Aggarwal, co-founder and CEO of Ola has said that he is paying the next salary for this fund.

The company says that they have a fleet of more than 2 million driver-partners for whom they raised their funds up to 50 crores and helped them on any platform.

“The crisis at this time has left thousands of drivers who form the backbone of shared mobility without an income. The Ola group has come together to contribute the initial capital for the fund. Which can be used to provide immediate aid,” said Anand Subramanian , Spokesperson and Head of Communications, Ola.

“We invite all the stakeholders of the mobility industry to join us in every way you can, and support the people who move us in this difficult phase. We will be stronger together,” said Subramanian.

They say that free medical facilities should also be provided to the drivers and their families.
