In the third match of IPL 2021, KKR beat SRH by 10 runs. Nitesh Rana became the man of the match by showing his brilliant batting skills. He scored 80 runs off 56 balls. SRH won the toss and invited KKR to bat. Nitesh Rana opened the inning with Shubman gill. A good start of the inning helped KKR to make 187 runs in 20 overs. Shubman Gill lost his wicket on 15 runs. After that Rahul Tripathi came to the crease and built a partnership with Nitesh Rana for the second wicket.
They added 93 runs for the 2nd wicket and Rahul Tripathi also hit 53 runs in 29 balls. Rashid khan and Mohammad Nabi took 2-2 wickets. Bhuvneshar Kumar and Natrajan took 1 wicket each.
To chase the 188 target, SRH did not open well. In 10 runs only SRH had lost both openers. After that Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow took charge and added 92 runs for 3rd wicket. At this stage everyone thought Bairstow took the match from KKR’s hand. But after Bairstow’s wicket KKR put pressure on SRH and SRH lost the game. Jonny Bairstow hit 55 runs and Manish Pandey hit 61 (not out). Parshad Krishna took 2 wickets and Shakib, Cummins and Russell took 1 wicket each. Andre Russel did not play well to the bat and when he came to bowl well at death over he took 1 Wicket and put more pressure on SRH.
