Nikita Kaul joined the army on Saturday, following in the footsteps of her husband Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal (Maj Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal), who was martyred in Pulwama. Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhaundiyal received Veergati while fighting the terrorists in Pulwama, Jammu Kashmir and he was awarded the Shaurya Chakra (posthumously) for his sacrifice for the nation.

Paying the best tribute to him, his wife Nikita Kaul wore an army uniform today. It will be a proud moment for him as Army Commander Lt YK Joshi placed stars on his shoulder.
