Last year, when the lockdown occurred in the country, the country suffered a lot. Now once again the country is moving towards lockdown. If there is a lockdown in the country again due to the second wave of Corona, then the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) could suffer a loss of about 1.5 lakh crore rupees. According to the SBI’s research report, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan will account for about 80 percent of this loss.
The SBI Research report said, ‘Maharashtra alone may account for 54 per cent of the losses that the current lockdown is likely to cause in various states.
SBI Research report says, ‘Currently we estimate that there will be a loss of about 82,000 crores in Maharashtra itself, which can definitely increase further if the curb tightens further. On the other hand, there may be a loss of about Rs 21,712 crore in Madhya Pradesh and about Rs 17,237 crore in Rajasthan.
Lockdown has been imposed in several states due to the second wave of Corona. Which includes many areas of Maharashtra and NCR. Lockdown has been imposed in Rajasthan till 3 May.
Growth estimate reduced
SBI Research has lowered the country’s GDP growth estimate to 10.4 per cent in FY 2021-22 due to the release of the second wave of Kovid 19. Which was earlier forecasting a growth of 11%
