The biggest auction in the cricket world is going to be held on February 18. The auction will be held in Chennai, which will be telecasted live on Star Sports Network in the afternoon. Many players have registered themselves for this auction, so many new faces can be seen.

But BCCI has launched new rules this year regarding this auction: –

This year, the name of marquee players was not taken more than 2 times, whereas their names were taken 3 times earlier. This has been done keeping in mind the lack of rule time.

This time every team will have to take at least 5 foreign players in their slots. Previously there was no minimum limit for the number of foreign players, but this time, this specified order has been given.

Each team must spend 75% of the current amount in their purse in the auction. But RCB and Punjab team have disagreed with this rule and demanded to repeal this rule.

Some news that has come from the IPL teams.

  • This year Csk’s coach Stephen Fleming will not go to the auction.
  • While sharing the picture on Twitter in a very different way, Delhi asked its fans which 3 foreign players they should buy.
  • Even before the auction, everyone felt that Maxwell had gone to the team of RCB, but Maxwell says that he would be happy if he played for RCB. He considers AB diviller as his idol and gets along well with Virat Kohli.
  • Kings XI  Punjab has changed its name to Punjab Kings and is also going to launch a new logo on 17th in Mumbai.
  • Bad news for KKR fans, because this year, André Roussel won’t be able to play any of the matches because of his injury.
