The second half of IPL 14 will be start form 19-20 September. The remaining 31 matches will be held in UAE and the finale of the 14th season of IPL will be played on October 10, 2021.
The challenge that the board will face here is about international players. During the time period selected for the second half of IPL, the international players will be playing from their own teams be it New Zealand, Afghanistan or England. Even west Indians will be playing CPL at that time.
BCCI has selected the dates right after the India team finishes their England tour on 15 September. The Indian team will reach UAE as soon as they are done playing the series and will join the bio-bubble of IPL.
On the other hand, New Zealand players may not be able to join IPL 14 because New Zealand will be playing against Pakistan in a series when the IPL 14 will be happening.
The main challenge is caused by Caribbean premiere league which will begin on August 28 and finish on September 19. The problem is that if West Indian players join right after the CPL ends, they will first have to be quarantined in UAE.
England team will have their limited-over series going on with Bangladesh during that timeline and soon after that they will play against Pakistan. In this case, many players such as Butler, Morgan and Ben stokes won’t be playing the IPL 14.
