When we think of somebody strong, we think of Superman and that is why our expectations of being strong are very high. Before we start, let me tell you that achieving Superhuman strength is an unrealistic goal. However, if you compare yourself with your past self, you will see how after doing certain things, your strength will increase a great deal. So, don’t compete with others, compete with yourself.

Having that said, let’s talk about the things you must do to gain massive strength.

  1. How to exercise? — We all know that exercising is must to get strong, but what is the right way to increase strength? Well, the key is to lift heavy. Yes, doing more reps of light weight may give your defined muscles but you can’t expect to gain strength by lifting the weight you are comfortable with.

For those, who don’t go to gym or somehow don’t have access to it, they can workout at home. How? Here’s how: Do bodyweight exercises and after a point start adding weight. You can simple take some books and put it in a bag and put that bag on your shoulder. Week by week keep increasing the weight and see yourself getting stronger and stronger.

  • What to eat? — Your diet has a lot to do when deciding how strong will you get. So, pay attention to it. You don’t just need protein to gain strength. Your body needs all the nutrients, macro and micro. And if you are a non-vegetarian, you should probably quit meat. Why? You should watch “The Game Changer” on Netflix to find answer to all your questions about nutrition.

Have plant-based diet such as, lentils, beans, whole wheat, fruits and vegetables.

  • REST: The most important and commonly ignore one step is resting. You can’t expect to grow stronger or bigger without giving your body enough rest. Only when you rest, your body gets time to heal and repair itself and return stronger. So, have an adequate amount of sleep at time and don’t overexert yourself during the day apart from working out.
