Many states have imposed Lockdown to bring the number of cases down and reduce the spread of Covid-19’s second wave. Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka and Punjab have already done. Now even Himachal Pradesh government has decided to impose a 10-day lockdown. Starting from May 7 which is Friday till May 16.
As per the guidelines, all the government and private offices & establishments shall stay closed. Only the essential services will be allowed such as health, electricity, telecommunication, food & water supply and sanitation.
The cabinet has also said that civil work sites, agricultural and other projects will continue working. But education institutes will stay closed till May 31. Intra-state transport, public and private, will continue to operate with 50% occupancy. Inter-state travel will also continue.
Class 10 board exams of the state board have also been cancelled. All the students in class 10 will be promoted to class 11 as per the norms which are suggested by CBSE for its students of class 10.
Until further notice, the board exams of Class 12 shall remain suspended.
