Heart attacks are dangerously common these days. Many people are having too much bad cholesterol in their body which eventually reduces the blood flow to the heart and causes an attack. Along with having an active lifestyle, there are some food that you can choose to add in your diet to have a healthy diet and some to remove.

  1. Add oats: Oats are very good for your heart, they help reduce the bad cholesterol in your body and eventually help the blood flow easily through the arteries and veins. Also, they aren’t something that are hard to prepare or add in your diet. You can simply take a serving of rolled or steel cut oats(40gms) and boil them in either water or milk (plant-based if you are a vegan) until cooked and there you have a perfect healthy breakfast.

  • Almonds: Almonds are packed with nutrients and are a great source of unsaturated fat, which helps the body get rid of bad cholesterol and increase the good cholesterol. The best part is that the benefits of eating almonds are not just limited to the heart but brain is also benefitted immensely. However, make sure you soak them at least for 5-6 hours before you eat. It will help your body get the full nutrition out of them.

  • Green vegetables: These type of vegetables are packed with vitamins and mineral. Almost all types of deficiencies can be removed by adding more vegetables to your diet. A body that takes its daily dose of vegetables won’t ever be a victim of any heart-related disease.

Apart from adding the above-mentioned food in your diet, make sure you remove refined oils off your diet because they are the number one culprit for causing heart attacks. So, follow these things and stay hail and hearty.
