Haryana Lockdown extended: To help control the spread of deadly second wave of coronavirus, just like other states, Haryana had imposed a statewide lockdown, which was scheduled to end of May 10. However, it has now been extended till 17th of May.
“Surkshit Haryana announced from May 10 to May 17. Stringent measures will be taken to contain spread of COVID-19 in Haryana. Detailed order to be issued soon,” said Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij.
Several categories with were granted exemption earlier in the lockdown will continue to get exemptions for this extended period as well. These categories include law and order, emergencies, municipal service duties.
Haryana is one of the top 10 states of India. That account for just above 71% of total new cases reported by the country. In last 24 hours, Haryana reported 13,548 new cases and 151 deaths.
