Yashpal Sharma, a former Indian cricketer and part of the 1983 world winning team, has passed away. He died on Tuesday morning due to a heart attack. Yashpal Sharma’s age was 66 years.

Yashpal Sharma made his Test debut against England at Lord’s in 1979, while playing his last Test match in 1983. He made his ODI debut in 1978 and played his last ODI match in 1985.

The second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL)-14 is starting from September 19. The remaining 31 matches of the tournament will be played in the UAE. The first match of the second part will be between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. The final match of this season will be played on 15 October in Dubai.

Let us inform that IPL-14 was postponed on 4 May after corona cases surfaced in many teams. Till then 29 matches had been played. There are 31 matches left of the season which will be played in 27 days. These matches will be held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

This season’s 13 matches will be held in Dubai, ten matches will be held in Sharjah, while eight will be held in Abu Dhabi. Seven matches will be double headers, with the first match starting at 3.30 pm IST. At the same time, all the matches to be held in the evening will start at 7.30 pm.

The final match of the league will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals on 8 October. The first Qualifier match will be played in Dubai on 10 October, while the Eliminator and Qualifier 2 will be played in Sharjah on 11 and 13 October.

Ravi Shastri will be with Team India for two more months! Said – I have achieved everything

Team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri can leave his post after the T20 World Cup. If the Indian team makes it to the final of the T20 World Cup, which will be played on November 14, then Ravi Shastri will be with Team India for about two more months.

Shastri’s tenure as head coach began in 2017. After this, he was again appointed to this post in 2019. The T20 World Cup will be played in the UAE from October 17. Shastri, 59, is currently in segregation due to being found Covid-19 positive.

New Zealand abandon Pakistan tour because of security threat

Having security concerns, New Zealand abandon their Pakistan tour on Friday. This was going to be their first scheduled match in Pakistan in 18 years.

Cricket team said that moments before their scheduled match in Rawalpindi they received security alert from their government and decided to call the tour off.

“Following an escalation in the New Zealand government threat levels for Pakistan, and advice form NZC security advisers on the ground, it has been decide the Black Caps will not continue with the tour,” NZC said on its website. Now for their departure, arrangements are being made.

About this Pakistan cricket board said that Prime minister spoke personally to New Zealand counterpart and informed that they had one of the best intelligence systems in the world and no security threat of any kind exists for the visiting team.

New Zealand was all set to play 3 ODIs in Rawalpindi and 5 T-20 matches in Lahore and security arrangements of both the cities was cleared by NZC’s security team last month.

Krishna Nagar explodes in Tokyo, wins gold in badminton

Indian badminton player Krishna Nagar has won the gold medal in the Tokyo Paralympics by performing brilliantly. On Sunday, he defeated Chunman Kai of Hong Kong 21-17, 16-21, 21-17 in the men’s singles SH6 final of badminton. Krishna Nagar won this title match in 43  minutes. With this Krishna Nagar became the second Indian shuttler after Pramod Bhagat to win gold in the Paralympic badminton event.

This decision has been taken because Shastri’s flow test came positive last evening. RT-PCR test of these people has been done and these people will stay in the team hotel and will not travel with the team without the confirmation of the medical team.

The BCCI further said in its statement,

‘Flow test of the rest of the team members was also done. Two flow tests were conducted for the team members – one last night and one in the morning. The members whose test has come negative have been allowed to go on the field on the fourth day of the fourth Test match being played at The Oval.

Talking about the match, Team India is in a strong position. He scored 270 runs for the loss of 3 wickets till the stumps on the third day. His lead has been 171 runs. Virat Kohli is unbeaten on 22 and Ravindra Jadeja on 9 runs. Opener Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century. He played an innings of 127 runs. This is the 8th century of his Test career. This is his first century outside India. Apart from this, KL Rahul scored 46 and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 61 runs.

The five-match Test series is tied at 1-1. The first match of the series was played at Trent Bridge, which ended in a draw. The second Test played at Lord’s was won by Team India. While the third Test match played in Leeds was in the name of England.

Indian parashooters have done wonders in the shooting of the Tokyo Paralympics. Manish Narwal grabbed the gold, while Singhraj won the silver. In the P4 Mixed 50m Pistol SH-1 final, Manish Narwal secured the first position with a score of 218.2. Sinharaj (216.7) finished second. Sergei Malyshev (196.8) of the Russian Olympic Committee (RPC) won the bronze medal. India’s medal tally is now 15.

 Both these para shooters are residents of Faridabad. In the qualification, Singhraj was fourth with 536 points, while Manish Narwal (533) finished seventh. Along with this, 19-year-old Manish Narwal won the third gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. Earlier Avani Lakhera (Women’s 10m Air Rifle SH1) and Sumit Antil (Men’s Javelin Throw F64) won gold medals.

Para shooter Avni did amazing in Tokyo, now won bronze after gold

India’s Avani Lakhera has done wonders in the Tokyo Paralympics. This para shooter from Jaipur, who has already won gold in the current Paralympics, has captured another medal. Now she won a bronze medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 event on Friday. She finished third in the event with a score of 445.9 . First Indian woman player to win two Paralympic medals

Avani Lakhera became the first Indian woman athlete to win two Paralympic medals. Prior to him Joginder Singh Sodhi was the first Indian to win multiple medals in a single stage of the Games.
