Former national president of Indian Medical Association Dr KK Aggarwal lost his battle against Covid and passes away in New Delhi on Monday.
He was admitted to AIIMS and had been on ventilator for a week.
He was a cardiologist and head of the Heart Care Foundation of India. During his life, Dr kk Aggarwal was awarded with BC Roy Award in 2005 and Padma Shree in 2010. He completed his MBBS from Nagpur University.
A statement posted on his Twitter profile said that he succumbed to the virus at 11.30 pm on Monday.
“Even during the pandemic, he made constant efforts to educate the masses and was able to reach out to 100 million people through numerous videos and videos and educational programmes and saved countless lives. He wanted his life to be celebrated and not mourned,” the statement said.
