Delhi Lockdown extended: On Sunday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal decides to lockdown extended for another week; It has been extended till the 17th of May. He also mentioned that this week’s lockdown will be strict and metro services will also remain shut.
The positivity rate of the capital has come down to 23% which was 35% earlier, but the rising cases still remain a matter of concern. Looking at the condition, extending the lockdown seemed to be the right thing to do to help bring the spread of infectious virus under control.
“During the lockdown we utilised the time to enhance our healthcare infrastructure. The main issue in Delhi was oxygen shortage. With Centre’s help, the condition is better now,” the Chief Minister said.
