K.V. Subramaniam(CEA) said, ‘I am not an epidemiologist (epidemiologist). I am just keeping an eye on it … I have read a lot of papers on Epidemiology. On the basis of good mathematics modeling at IIT Kanpur and research of many institutions like ICMR, I can say that the peak level of the second wave of Covid-19 in India will come by mid-May.
According to PTI, while addressing a virtual event organized by the Great Lakes Institute of Management, on Tuesday, he said that there are no experts in this field, so their assessment may have many different buts.
Not much impact on economy: CEA
Subramaniam has said that this corona wave will not have much effect on our economy. They have said that the assessment of the second wave is based on the research of institutions like ICMR.

He said that he hopes that it would not have much impact on the economy, as the government has taken several measures to protect enterprises, especially MSME, from production losses.
He said that India is taking such measures while addressing the supply side constraints so that we can turn this disaster into an opportunity in terms of economy.
