Keeping rising cases of coronavirus in mind, the government of India has taken a big decision. 12th examinations have been postponed and 10th examinations have been cancelled. It was decided on Wednesday after PM Modi had a meeting with the education minister and officers.

According to this order, the senior secondary exams that were scheduled from May 4th to June 14th have been postponed for an unspecified period of time. On June 1st another meeting will be held in which, seeing the circumstance, it will be decided whether to hold the exams or not. And if they do, students will be informed 15 days prior to the exams.

On the other hand, 10th exams have been cancelled and students will be promoted to the next class. Their marks will be given on the base of their performance and if any student shows dissatisfaction with their marks, they will be given a chance to appear in the exams later.

Government, for long, was being requested to cancel these exams. Chief minister of Delhi, Arvind kejriwal made the same request in one of his conferences and so did Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Not to mention the viral video of Sonu Sood supporting students in this case.

It was apparent that CBSE was getting pressure from all over the country to take a decision in the favor of students. Around 30 lakh students were going to appear in CBSE exams from all over the country.
