Canada to Send $10 Million to India to Fight COVID

India is the worst-affected country by coronavirus. Everyday more and more people are getting infected. The lockdowns are being imposed in many states to help prevent the spread of this deadly virus. In such times, other countries are coming forward to help and Canada is one of them.

Justin Trudeau, Prime minister of Canada, on Wednesday informed that they are sending 10 Million Dollars to India to help it fight the pandemic. So that India can deal with the shortage of emergency equipment. We can even expect more assistance from Canada in the future.

Justin Trudeau tweeted, “Right now, the people of India are facing a tragic situation. To help with everything from ambulance services to buying personal protective equipment, we’re contributing $10 Million to @IndianRedCross through @RedCrossCanada. We stand ready to denote extra medical supplies, too.”

On Tuesday, Canada’s foreign minister, Marc Garneau spoke to S Jaishankar and told him that every possibility is being explored in which they can help India. This is what he tweeted,” This morning, I spoke with @DrSJaishankar to convey Canada’s solidarity with the people of India as they face this deadly wave of #Covid19. Canada is exploring all options to support India’s urgent needs. We are ready to assist.
