India’s renowned telecom operator BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has decided to waive off the installation charges for new customers on all fixed-line connections till April 30. BSNL is currently offering fibre optic connection, DSL broadband connections and landline services.
This offer was announced by the company through a circular dated 8th April, 2021. The head branch has released this circular in every state and instructed them to update the same of their website as well because this offer isn’t state-specific but is available for customers all over India.
BSNL’s otherwise charges Rs 250 for installing a broadband-only connection. For Bharat Fibre connections, the installation charges are Rs 500. If somebody already has an existing voice calling service and wants a broadband connection, then the charges are Rs 250.
When compared to the charges of Reliance Jio’s broadband connection, BSNL’s fee seems very much reasonable and affordable. JioFiber customers pay a non-refundable amount of Rs 1000 for getting a connection installed and an additional Rs 1500 as a security deposit. This security deposit is refundable.
There’s still enough time for the customers to take benefit of this on-going offer. Waiving off these charges may help BSNL make their place in people’s home. Some disgruntled customers of other providers may also consider replacing their current connection with BSNL fixed-line connections.
