The online streaming platform, Amazon Prime will no longer provide the monthly plan to its users in India. The plan that earlier costed Rs. 129 and was valid for 1 month has been discontinued. Now it only offers two subscription plans: for 3 months and 1 year.

The company removed the one-month plan, following the RBI guidelines. These new guidelines that require banks and payments platforms to incorporate an additional factor of authentication (AFA) for processing recurring online transactions. All the banking and payment-processing companies must implement these by September 30 of this year.
