Actress Munmun Dutta booked for making derogatory remarks

Munmun dutta, known for her character Babita in TMKOC, has been booked for using an offensive term against a community.

Oh her social media platform she uploaded a make-up video on May 9 in which she allegedly made those remarks. She later, on May 10, issued an apology.

“This is in reference to a video that I posted yesterday where in one word used by me has been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent of insult, intimidate, humiliate or hurt anyone`s feelings.”

“Because of my language barrier, I was genuinely misinformed about the meaning of the word. Once I was made aware of its meaning, I immediately took the part down. I have utmost respect for every single person from every caste, creed or gender and acknowledge their immense contribution to our society or nation,” she added.

On May 12, a community leader, Naresh Bohit, lodged a complaint against her at Goregaon police station. On this basis on that, a complaint was registered on May 26.

The case was then sent to the Amboli police station because that is where actress Munmun dutta resides.
