When seasons change, people get sick. This has been the case for as long as I can remember. But why does it happen? And can we avoid it? As a matter of fact, you can by following three easy steps.

  1. Don’t remove layers immediately: Just because you feel like winter isn’t that cold anymore does not mean you should stop wearing warm clothes. This is the biggest mistake that people make and fall prey to the cold and cough. On a sunny afternoon, you may wear less clothes but listen to your body when it feels even slightly cold.

  • Poor eating habits: Usually when the season is in transition, you should pay extra attention to the food that you put inside your mouth. It should be fresh, warm and home-cooked. Also, not eating till your stomach is full and leave some space for the food to be digested properly. If possible do intermittent fasting or just have juices, fruits and vegetable because these are very easy to digest for your stomach.

  • Drink warm water: You are 70% water and if that isn’t enough for you to have enough water then I don’t know what will be. Before water, warm water is your best friend during these times. Keep yourself hydrated and help your body get rid of all the toxins inside your body by drinking enough water.
